One of the most important places in the region is Tharros – ancient Phoenician city from the 8th century BC, whose ruins of temples and columns testify to centuries of history. Nearby is Museum of Giants from Mont Prama, presenting unique stone statues from the Nuragian era, one of the oldest in Europe.
An interesting point on the route is San Salvatore Sinis, an abandoned town known for the film plans of Italian westerns. At the end of the day we will visit one of the most beautiful beaches of the region – Is Arutas or Mari Ermi, famous for its white quartz sand shimmering with different shades.
