GULF OF OROSEI
Sea and mountains: in the central-eastern part of Sardinia, the vast and unspoilt landscape is a must-see if you are visiting the island. Inaccessible peaks, green pastures, plateaus, canyons, forests, cliffs overlooking crystal clear waters, caves and beaches. It is one of the most spectacular places in Sardinia, which looks even more beautiful from the sea.

CALA LUNA- TREASURE OF SARDINIA
A symbol of eastern Sardinia, a natural monument of extraordinary charm, a beach of wild and unspoiled beauty on the border between Barbagia and Ogliastra. One of the wonders of the Gulf of Orosei and the entire Mediterranean. Cala Luna, or the bay of the moon, is one of the main point of the Orosei’s Gulf. Go on a cruise with us and see why.

DOVESESTO it is an ancient sailing ship, almost a hundred years old, anchored at the port of Cala Gonone. From here he leaves every day at 10.30 a.m. for the mini cruise in the Gulf of Orosei, to discover the most beautiful beaches and caves on the coast along the famous “Selvaggio Blu” route. The program of the mini-cruise is variable as it is based on the captain’s decision, who, after evaluating the weather and sea conditions of the day, will propose us the best route and stops available to fully enjoy a beautiful day at sea.Our standard route, depending on the weather, departs from the port of Cala Gonone, sailing along the massive limestone cliffs eroded by the sea. You can admire different scenery of rocks and forest that alternate one after the other , interrupted only by the numerous coves: Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Le Piscine di Venere, Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritze.
Leaving Cala Luna, we sail towards the first swimming’s stop at the Pools of Venus. The sailing ship Dovesesto drops its anchor, and it will be possible to swim in the emerald waters. After about forty minutes, we will head to Mariolu’s cove or Gabbiani’s cove, two pearls of the gulf of incredible beauty and where our guests can enjoy the longest stop of the day of about two hours.
We will keep sailing to reach the base of the Aguglia, an imposing elongated rock that rises alone from the sea and we will admire the spectacular natural arch of Goloritzé.
A little further north of this last cove, you will stop to reach with a dinghy, an hidden cave where you can admire a unique play of lights. Here it is impossible not to dive.
When the sailing ship sets its bow towards the port of return, if we are lucky dolphins often arrive to greet us with their jumps, we stop for a swim or for the last stop on the beach at Cala Sisine or Cala Luna.
