CALA DOMESTICA & PORTO FLAVIA

The southwestern coast of Sardinia is characterized by monumental cliffs, coves and crystal water. Once a mining center on the island.

Porto Flavia – a historic port hollowed out in a cliff at the beginning of the 20th century, which enabled the rapid loading of zinc and lead ore onto ships, and  Mr. di Zucchero – the highest lonely limestone in Europe, rising to 133 m a.s.l.

WILD BEACHES AND CLASSES

A pontoon cruise along the southwest coast of Sardinia is a great opportunity to discover one of the island’s most spectacular regions.

We will visit during the trip Grotta AzzurraCanal Grande and Cala Domesticawhere there will be time for bathing and snorkeling. Then we will swim next to the impressive rock Mr. di Zuccheroand the final of the trip will be admiring the monumental Porto Flavia from the sea.

During the cruise, the skipper will tell you about the history of the places visited, and participants will have the opportunity to take souvenir photos, immerse themselves in turquoise water and feel the magic of virgin Sardinia. After about two hours full of excitement we will return to the port of Buggerru.

TRIP PLAN:

1. Departure from the port of Buggerru
The cruise starts at the port of Buggerru and lasts about 2 hours. During the trip we will admire the wild and picturesque landscapes of the southwest coast of Sardinia, full of coves and beaches with crystal clear water.

2. Grotta Azzurra
The first stop is Grotta Azzurra – a sea grotto with intense turquoise water, whose color varies depending on the angle of incidence of light. This is one of the most picturesque places in the region.

3. Canal Grande
Then we will swim through the Grand Canal, an impressive rock gorge surrounded by high cliffs. It’s an amazing natural landscape that provides the perfect background for photos.

4. Cala Domestica
The next point of the cruise is the sandy beach of Cala Domestica, surrounded by cliffs and known for its crystal clear water. It’s the perfect place for a bath and a moment of relaxation.

5. Mr. di Zucchero
Pan di Zucchero is a 133-meter limestone rock growing out of the sea, one of the highest formations of this type in Europe. The water around it is transparent, which makes it a great place for snorkeling.

6. Porto Flavia
The last stop is Porto Flavia, a historic port carved into the rock. The view of this monumental structure from the sea makes a huge impression.

7. Return to the port of Buggerru
After visiting the most beautiful places of the region, we return to the port of Buggerru. The cruise is an unforgettable opportunity to discover one of the most spectacular corners of Sardinia.
